2007 Suzuki Forenza - KL5JD56237K- Beloit, WI: August 27th, 2012
My check engine light came on to find that my transmission switch had gone bad causing it not to shift correctly.... Thinking no big deal, i took it to my mechanic. He said these transmissions were known as throw away transmissions. I came home and googled my problem to find numerous lower mileage suzuki forenzas with the same issue, some almost causing accidents. Please consider a mandatory recall on this part.

2011 Suzuki Vzr1800 - JS1VY53AXB2- Coffeyville, KS: August 21st, 2012
Bought a m109r l. E. Suzuki 2011 saw that handlebars were obviously crooked and asked that they be serviced. 10 months later and a concaved front tire they were "adjusted. "brand new tires were put on at this time and the steering was still off. I had a fallout w/the said dealership &the contacted american suzuki corp. And asked if there was a recall or issue pertaining to the m109r. I was told to ride sideways to compensate for the steering. I approached another dealership and pointed out they had a brand new defective unit on their showroom floor and upon inspection they confronted suzuki with me. They were given authorization to fix my problem and during this my shifter linkage has gone out and fixed twice along w/ a temp sensor for the fan leaking coolant which has also gone out twice, all before the cycle was a year old. The steering was remedied by replacing the risers. The dealership stated that" the bar mounts on the top of the triple tree were measured &the line bore may be off or the mounts are made incorrectly at the factory. " this dealership verbally admitted that the steering was not fixed and the original dealership who fixed it first signed off on the repair order stating" resolution adjusted handlebars. " that's all they did was move the handlebars causing abnormal wear on my brand new tires. The 2nda dealership was told by suzuki to just replace the risers which were set back in the out of line bore holes and not fixing the whole problem... The steering the doesn't it hold in corners and skips and wobbles and shakes during normal riding. It moves the bike without warning causing me to swerve. Suzuki will not acknowledge my plea and my tires have to be replaced now after 5000 miles. I am stuck with an unsafe bike that was sold brand new and there are others brand knew still being sold without me warning or recall. Is this what consumers have as rights?

I am sick and tired of replacing my transmission range sensor!!!!!!!!!! And now after doing so, once again. My car wont start, battery is fine. I think that this needs to be a recall!!!! I have one more year left to pay off this car. I cant afford to keep replacing this problem. Had to replace this problem in 2009, and now again. Someone fix this!!!!

2008 Suzuki Sx4 - JS2YC415485- Navarre, FL: August 9th, 2012
Suzuki has recall for a defective passenger seat cushion that when the fault is present the passenger nor the drivers air bags will deploy in an accident. The part has been ordered but will not come in for three weeks. The dealership in pensacola florida has said they will not give a loaner vehicle for this issue even thought the safety issue has been identified and neither the passenger or drivers air bag will deploy in an accident. Knowing this is a very important safety issue i fail to understand why they won't give a loaner vehicle until this problem has been corrected. In the event of an accident and the air bags don't deploy i can see a justification for a lawsuit because of this safety issue in the vehicle. I had even contacted a lady by the name of [xxx] at the suzuki customer service number of 1-800-934-0934 and in the recall letter that was sent out does not allow for a loaner vehicle unless the issue falls under the 36 month warranty period. If this is a known recall it should not matter if it is under the warranty period or not since this is a vehicle safety issue and a loaner vehicle should be available to all customers. 2008 Suzuki Gsx-1300rk8 - JS1GX72AX82- Bayamon, PR: August 8th, 2012
I just call suzuki 714-572-1490 to receive service on a recall for my motorcycle they deny to gave me the service because they cant find the vin number. This motorcycle has a 2 recall one for the voltage regulator that may cause an explosion and the other one for ignition key.

2009 Suzuki Boulevard M109r - JS1VY53AX92- Gentry, AR: August 2nd, 2012
The contact owns a 2009 suzuki boulevard m109r motorcycle. The contact was driving 45 mph when the vehicle began to jerk and stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis where the contact was awaiting the diagnostic results. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 19,000.

2005 Suzuki Xl-7 - JS3TX92V454- Sandpoint, ID: July 31st, 2012
I purchased this vehicle in 4/2010 it had 22,000 miles on it. I had new brake pads installed 7/18/2011 at 47,000 miles. It began to have issues again in january 2012, i finally had to have new rotors/brakes installed again 6/2012. I contacted suzuki regarding the issues of the brake system, they stated that my vin# was not on a recall for the braking system yet, i still have issues. What re-coarse do i have in getting re-embursed for prior installment of new brakes and getting it corrected again! I now have 72,000 miles on this car i use it for in-home health care, i transport clients, i'm concerned about our safety.

The vehicle will not stay in alignment. It is wearing the back tires down to nothing really fast and making loud roaring noises. When driving it throws you all over the road making it very possible to hit on coming traffic. This vehicle does not feel safe to drive. I have parked it and will not be driving until something is done about this. *js

Started car and air bag light first blinked like it was suppose to and went off. Went to put car in gear and notice the light was on again and this time it did not go out. Then a few minutes later i notice the passenger side seat belt light was on also and no one was present in that seat. On research on the internet i have learned this is a major problems with suzuki owners of different models. A lot of vehicles with less miles then my vehicle, i can not get my car inspected or even trade it in with the light on and told it could cost me up to $1400. 00 to fix. Of course suzuki does not care this has become a money maker for them. There has to be a defect in the air bag system they placed in the vehicles for so many people to be having the same problem. Of course the biggest problem is now the air bag are not going to work in a crash. Please check into this for all us suzuki owners who are trapped.. I understand the sensor for the air bags are in the seat.

Purchased vehicle on 6/29/12. Airbag warning light came on two weeks later. Research indicates that my airbags are now disabled. Authorized suzuki dealer/repair facility is 125 miles away. On line blogs and this website indicate problems with disconnect in seat sensor embedded within front passenger seat cushion. Suzuki will not cover costs to repair/replace seat cushion. Safety issue seams to be with all suzuki sx4's. How do we, the consumer, get american suzuki to recall this airbag issue? 2011 Suzuki Gsx-1250fa - JS1GW72B1B2- Lindenhurst, NY: July 26th, 2012
Cpsc#10270493a. 2011 suzuki gsx1250fa. Consumer stated his motorcycle has recently experienced a serious life threatening condition of 4th gear engine stall cut off after long term (eight plus hours) high ambient temperature exposure. *ln the consumer stated he tried to re-start the motorcycle, but to no avail. After turning off the ignition switch, he waited a few minutes and it finally, but very reluctantly started. He proceeded back onto the highway, only to experience the engine stall, for second time as he was shifting through the gears. When the consumer arriver home, he was able to duplicate the problem with the motorcycle on the center stand, as shifting into 4th gear, the engine would stall. The consumer rode the motorcycle to the dealer in 3rd and did not experiencing any stalling issues. A diagnosis revealed no problems with the motorcycle and the consumer was informed by a suzuki factory technician, the bike was performing as designed. Despite the fact, that a technician at the dealer experienced the stalling first hand.

The contact owns a 2009 suzuki grand vitara. The contact stated that the anti-lock braking system warning light and the esp off warning light were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to dealer and inspected. The dealer stated that the anti-lock braking system was found defective. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 12,400 and the current mileage was 12,900.

1995 Suzuki Esteem - JS2GB31S3S5- Pkymouth , MN: July 18th, 2012
Car exhibited a tendency to pull to the right at first. After turning a corner the car pulled to the left. Going down the highway the front of the car wandered from side to side. After i parked the car and re started the engine when i put it into gear a loud banging noise came from the front of the car and it did not move in reverse or drive. Banging stopped in neutral and park. I jacked up the car and the front sub-frame was rusted thru right next to where the lower suspension arm attached to it.

The contact owns a 2009 suzuki xl7. While driving approximately 30 mph ,the hood suddenly flew open. The contact stopped the vehicle and noticed that the strut that held the hood up was fractured. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostics. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 29,500.

Vehicle in dealer shop for safety inspection (new york). Dealer told of recall for mirror screws, gps battery, and passenger seat pad. I informed dealer of passenger air bag warning light on dash. The dealer told me they had to send the gps back to the factory, the screws for the mirror were on back order and the air bag light would cost me $85. 00 u. S. To update the program. Are air bags supplied by the manufacture not required to work 3000 miles out of warranty? If my wife gets in an accident and a passenger dies because of a defective program am i at fault? What is my recourse for this asinine service?

2004 Suzuki Gsx-r750 - JS1GR7JA842- Warwick, RI: July 2nd, 2012
Failure can occur randomly and will result in loss of power to the motor under acceleration. The problem affects the 2004-2005 model years. Specifically the secondary throttle valve actuator (stva) can fail and result in loss of engine power. A fi (fuel injection) code displays on the dash. Once you access dealer mode, the display code is c-28. This is due to faulty solder connections within the stva motor. Attempts to contact the motor manufacturer result in being told to go back to the maker of the machine the part was found in. Affected stva motors for this year were manufactured for astrosyn by a company called minebea. Now known as eminebea. The company will not release any information to help affected members find a replacement for the motor. 2008 Suzuki Boulevard M109r - JS1VY54A982- Tabernacle, NJ: June 26th, 2012
Violent shutter from a complete stop. Multiple times but intermittent. Had to pull off road to try to engage 1st gear. Nearly rear ended. In the upper gears, bike has a grinding feel, somewhat comparable to having low oil. ( which is not my case, oil level is right on) after reading numerous reports on this problem, i am reluctant to bring it to an authorize suzuki dealer. Seems it will be a waste of time and money. This is a common problem and suzuki should stand by their product. This is a safety issue and i am glad to have the opportunity to voice my concerns so if any thing does happen, like getting run over, it's documented. *jb

When i first bought the 2008 suzuki grand vitara, i noticed that the low beam headlights were so low that i could not see the road. I literally cannot see the road because they are so dim-they keep blowing out and needing to be replaced as well. I have to drive with my high beam lights on at night because i am afraid i will hit someone or something. I am blinded by on coming traffic if i drive with these on. This is a great safety hazard-these lights should be recalled before someone gets killed. I got my sixteen y/o daughter this car and i refuse to let her drive it- i drive it. Been to dealership many times-still not any better. Please help. *tt

My car's issue is that air bag light stays on. When i took the vehicle to the local suzuki dealership to fix an other issue on brake system, the air bag light also had stayed on. The service mechanics saw the front panel of my car where the brake system light and airbag system lights were on. However, they did not warn me about it. If they had told me, the costs should have been covered by warranty. At that time, i did not know what the airbag light indicated (i. E. Airbag would not deploy when i got an accident) as a dealership where i purchased the car did not warn me about it although it already stayed on when i purchased it. This is a serious safety issue in terms of quality of service technicians and airbag system itself of suzuki. This appears to be a known and wide spread issue with suzuki sx4 as i have seen multiple complaints, which are the same as my issue, on safecar. Gove and other websites. Furthermore, looking at those information, those cars had the issue at a quite early stage of car usage (e. G. When purchased and mileage), which indicates that the airbag system has a defect. This issue could lead serious injuries or dead so suzuki should resolve it as soon as possible by either recalling the airbag system or extending the warranty so that car owners can fix it with no costs and saver our lives. Otherwise, car owners who could not afford the costs could not fix it. Also, car owners who are not familiar with airbag light/system would not pay attention to the dangerous situation. From that perspective, suzuki should notify car owners about the issue immediately. I hope that nhtsa also would take the issue seriously, investigate it and give the necessary directions to suzuki to save our nation of u. S. A 's lives from a defect airbag system.
