2004 Honda Accord - 1H278GCM674- Elkins Park, PA: August 29th, 2012
My car started bucking about two weeks after i had it inspected in july. Also the drive light was blinking and the check maintenance light came on. At one point i was alone and far from home and the car would not go into reverse. I contacted a mechanic i know well who told me there was a safety issue and that i should try to drive the car to the transmission place he recommended. For several miles the car bucked and i wasn't sure whether i would get there or not, but i did. Very scary. Not sure this sure happen with a car that only has 76,500 miles on it and i am the only owner.

2012 Honda Civic - 2HGFB2F83CH- Old Bridge, NJ: August 29th, 2012
On saturday, august 25th, when driving on a hilly roadway, i accelerated to p/u speed to get up the hill. The transmission sounded like it was straining and rpm was over 3000. When i reached the top of the hill and started the descent, i hit the brake to reduce my speed, but the vehicle did not slow down and the transmission was stuck with rpms still over 3000. It took more than 10 seconds for the transmission to shift down. If there was a vehicle in the same lane as mine, there would have been an accident.

2001 Honda Accord - JHMCG66001C- Snohomish, WA: August 27th, 2012
In 2006 honda issued an extended warranty on the transmission due to the many complaints/failures. Shortly thereafter we started experiencing slipping/missing gears and took it to klein honda in everett where we purchased it. They ran the diagnostic and told us that it wasn't bad enough to warrant a replacement. Since then it has slowly gotten worse to the point where it is becoming a safety issue because we never really know if it is going to catch and actually go or when it will just decide to stall. Now of course it is past the extended warranty and the dealer refuses to fix it.

2009 Honda Cbr1000rr - JH2SC59G69K- Austin, TX: August 27th, 2012
When i applied the brakes increased pressure on the brake lever didn't result in increased braking force and the bike wouldn't slow down then suddenly the brake lever came back toward the handle bar and the abs light came on and normal braking resumed in fail-safe mode. The dealer replaced the front power unit and bled the brake system under warranty and returned the bike with 26146 miles. On 8/21 at 26275 miles i was braking for traffic, let off the brakes momentarily and then when i resumed braking the brake lever came back to the handlebar. Only happened once on this ride. On 8/23 at 26350 miles as i was rolling backwards out of the driveway the brake lever came all the way back to the handlebar and i rolled out into the street with no brakes until i had pumped up the brakes. Had normal brakes for the rest of the ride. On 8/25 at 26,435 miles the brake lever repeatedly came back to the bar while braking on the trip to take the bike back to the dealer.

2012 Honda Accord - 1HGCS1B33CA- Pittsburgh, PA: August 27th, 2012
I noticed noise, wheel vibrations and steering problems. The honda service department said that i had a bad wheel bearing on the left side and replaced it. After i received the car back from the shop, i noticed the car was pulling to the left, wheel vibrations, loose steering wheel and making noise. The car did not shift between gears properly and fluctuated between rpms randomly (even when at idle). I took it back to the honda service department. This time they reset the computer in the car and performed idle relearn procedure; adjusted the toe on all four wheels. They also found that the rear rotors were out of round and "machine rear brake rotors" but reused the brake pads. I do not feel safe in this vehicle. I have scheduled another service appointment for 8/28. However, i am still having the idle rpm, shifting problems, wheel vibration issues, steering problems, noise issues as well as several other problems. This manufacture should be forced to issue a recall.

2006 Honda Civic - 1HGFA15536L- North Potomac, MD: August 27th, 2012
Both rear brake lights stop working at the same time. Checked the fuse and bulb, both which are good. It appears the brake lights stop working after i pressed on brakes hard enough to engage abs in an emergency situation. The high brake light mounted on the backlite is working.

2007 Honda Element - 5J6YH28777L- Canton, NC: August 23rd, 2012
Was involved in a car accident on 8/22/12. I was driving a 2007 honda element awd at 55mph. An accident happened in front of me which resulted in me hitting a truck and a van hitting me. The airbags never deployed... Not one! I am upset that i bought this car because of the safety measures and when i needed them, nothing happened. Both the driver and passenger suffered very sore necks, shoulders and backs! I want a investigation done on my vehicle to see why the airbags never deployed!!! Thankfully nobody was killed due to some malfunctioning airbags.

2007 Honda Vtx1300 - 1HFSC52677A- Fort Collins, CO: August 22nd, 2012
Severe wobble started at only 6000 miles on the bike! It hits at around 40 mph; it is so bad that the handlebars will 'hop' back and forth and the bike will shake. The stock steering bearings are faulty yet honda claims nothing is wrong and will only replace it with another stock bearing. This is a known major issue among vtx owners.

2012 Honda Accord - 1HGCP2F78CA- Alabaster, AL: August 22nd, 2012
The front seats are so uncomfortable you cant go over 15 miles without being in pain. Something has got to be wrong with the design on the lumbar support.

2004 Honda Vtx1800 - 1HFSC49074A- El Paso, TX: August 21st, 2012
Final drive wheel bearing failure found during tire change. I understand this is commom failure on vtx1800.

2011 Honda Pilot - 5FNYF3H58BB- Los Angeles, CA: August 21st, 2012
Uneven worn out rear right tire caused by suspension rod bending due to an accident related as claimed by honda automobile. The video of the bend i have do showed otherwise, suspension rod do not appear as any impact related, it appeared as manufacturer's defect which honda is avoiding to take the responsibility. I told them that i have not had any accident with the car. And which type of impact will cause such a suspension rod to bend without affecting other surrounding fragile components. Also why is the impact very isolative, neat and appeared corroded.

2011 Honda Cr-v - 3CZRE3H50BG- Marble Falls, TX: August 21st, 2012
My car was 10 days old and the bumper started peeling. Took me a lot of jumping hoops, phone calls, letters, and days off work to get it repaired. It was really a nightmare. 6 months later 6/22/2012 the rear bumper started peeling. They fixed it without any problems. Less than another month now it is peeling at the lift gate under the handle to open and they want to see it and see what it is doing then see if they approve it and back to jumping hoops on a vehicle that is less than 9 months old. There is something wrong with the paint on these. I understand that the paint doesn't stick well to plastic but i have lots of dings i have had to fill it chips very easily also. I have a toyota with almost 300k that doesn't have the looks of my new car that stays parked due to me being scared to drive b/c it might peel or chip. This is nuts. I want it fixed and or traded and don't want to have to keep going back and forth this is ridiculous with a new car to have to lose pay to go 150 miles to have my car looked at then schedule the appt 150 miles and then 150 miles to get it, but also take a day off work for both. It is loss of pay, cost of gas, time and is getting really tiring!

1999 Honda Accord - 1HGCG3240XA- Huntsville, AL: August 21st, 2012
The contact owns a 1999 honda accord. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The failure recurred at different speeds intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The technician stated that the ignition switch would have to be replaced. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign id number: 02v120000 (electrical system:ignition:switch) but was advised by the manufacturer that the vin was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

2008 Honda Accord - 1HGCS12348A- Greenwood, IN: August 19th, 2012
I bought my 2008 accord used with 32k on it. Honda had a great record with reliability and quality in the past so this car, i figured, would be no different. After about a month of ownership, i noticed the oil was low. I checked the oil when i bought the car and it was full, and it was now down about a half a quart. I took my car to the honda dealership and told them about the oil consumption. They topped me off, and put me on an oil consumption test. Interestingly enough, there was an oil consumption recall on my car about a month later. The dealership updated the software to prevent oil consumption and i was sent on my way. About a month later, my car was still consuming oil at about a quart per 2290miles. That was the official honda tally at the end of my oil consumption test. I contacted honda through written letter and phone call saying that their recall/software update did not work and that my car was still consuming oil. American honda was unable to provide me with any documentation about what acceptable oil consumption on a car was, but in their words it was 1qt/1000 miles. No where in the bill of sale or owners manual does it say the owner will have to add oil during regular driving to keep the oil at acceptable levels. Talking with both american honda and dealerships as well, they refuse to fix the problem and they are unable to provide any proof that consuming oil at this rate will not harm the car. I am currently adding about 1qt/1500miles to keep my car from running out of oil, and under the 5year 60k warranty, honda still has not fixed the problem. I have all of my receipts of repairs and routine maintenance from the dealership along with dated phone conversations to honda reps including case numbers. People need to know honda's malicious and greedy intent not to honor its warranty and fix its cars. Mine still has yet to be fixed.

2012 Honda Accord - 1HGCP2FBBCA- Macon, GA: August 18th, 2012
The driver's seat is incredibly uncomfortable to the point of not being able to sit still for more than a 20minute drive. This is a safety issue, and one that i've never had in my 2 current honda vehicles. The lumbar support bar protrudes into your back not allowing you to sit properly into the seat and causing extreme discomfort after 20mins of casual driving.

2004 Honda Civic - 2HGES26724H- Pleasanton, CA: August 18th, 2012
The clearcoat has entirely burned away from the roof, hood and trunk and is spreading to the side panels resulting in a milky, splotchy appearance. I'm not sure how much damage this will do or if it will shorten the life of the vehicle but i do know it's unacceptable and it looks very damaged.

2012 Honda Accord - 1HGCP2F89CA- Dartmouth , MA: August 17th, 2012
Seats are very uncomfortable. Excessive pressure from the seats lumbar area. They cause back, leg and hip pain. This was not noticed on the 10 minute test drive. Becomes unbearable after 20 minutes of driving. The pain is distracting, constantly adjusting the seat looking for a position to easy the pain. Honda has been contacted and has not offered a solution.
