2008 Gmc Yukon Hybrid - 1GKFK13518R- Salt Lake City, UT: July 3rd, 2012
I have had repeated failures of all the door locks in my yukon. They will only work manually not with the auto lock feature. Safety is a concern as you need to remember to lock the door manually and then unlock it manually to get in the car. The auto door lock feature (locking at 5 mph or above) also does not work inviting a car jacking incident. I have had 3 replaced under warranty and now a 4th door is affected. *js

2008 Gmc Yukon Hybrid - 1GKFC13588R- Sachse, TX: July 9th, 2010
Vehicle brake system responds erratically about once every 100 miles. It has caused numerous near miss accidents. This problem has happened on numerous occasions but i'll describe the most recent. I was driving down a local highway at about 50 miles an hour. Traffic was backing up and came to a stop. I hit the brakes (no danger/emergency, just a normal stop). The vehicle slowed normally to about 15 miles per hour and then the brakes "let go" and the deceleration stopped even though my foot was still on the brake pedal. I had to release the pedal and slam on the brakes anew to get the vehicle to stop before slamming in to the traffic in front of me. This has happened several times since and it seems to occur when the vehicle is switching from hybrid to non-hybrid mode and/or when the regenerative braking is cycling on or off. My vehicle is a 2008 gmc yukon hybrid it's been taken to the dealer at least twice for this problem but nothing has been repaired. I can't recreated the problem on demand, but it happens on average once a week and scares me so much that i don't feel safe driving it anymore. It's just a matter of time before there is a serious accident.

2008 Gmc Yukon Hybrid - Alpharetta, GA: July 8th, 2010
While driving my 2008 gmc yukon hybrid in my neighborhood, approximately 20 mph and decelerating, the car suddenly accelerated on its own. I felt a movement in the gas pedal, experienced a sudden acceleration, and i applied the brakes which made it stop immediately. This could have had a tragic outcome if i'd been in a parking lot.

2008 Gmc Yukon Hybrid - 1GKFK13558R- Clarksburg, CA: September 5th, 2009
Rocks enter a small hole of the rear brakes causing them to be lodged in the brake drum and making it necessary for a mechanic to remove. My concern is that i won't know rocks are in there and they will causing a braking problem resulting in an accident.

2009 Gmc Yukon Hybrid - 1GKFK13559R- Brookville, NY: May 27th, 2009
The contact owns a 2009 gmc yukon hybrid. While driving 20 mph, "service brakes soon" appeared on the instrument panel. The contact called the leasing company about the brakes, but they failed soon after. He ran a red light and drove up a small hill. The contact had to apply the emergency brake in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired by the leasing company. The contact feels that the vehicle is unsafe due to the brake failure. A recall was issued, which causes the vehicle to stall. The current and failure mileages were 12,000.
