2006 Dodge Durango - 1D8HB38N86F- Caldwell, ID: August 29th, 2012
Every time this vehicle is filled to full it spews gas out of the tank at the pump operator resulting in gas on the person fueling vehicle. We have tried several service stations this is not a pump issue the issue is with the vehicle. We have spoken to several station attendants this is a known issue to them. I believe this needs to be addressed before someone is seriously burned by a spark.

2003 Dodge 1500 - 1D7HU18Z63J- Lewis Center, OH: August 29th, 2012
The dash has started to crack, and the latest one is right above the passenger air bag. My concern is what would happen in the event of a air bag deployment if a big shard of plastic from the dash were to fall in front of the air bag during deployment. What would happen to the front passenger, or my young kids sitting in the back seat? I have also found reports of owners reporting wiring problems due to parts of the dash falling down.

2010 Dodge Ram 2500 - 3D7UT2HL1AG- Gillett, WI: August 29th, 2012
Front left tie rod was a safety recall in march. I had it looked at and the dealor said it was fine. On friday august 24th i was turning around in a driveway after i got off the highway 10 minutes pryor when the tie rod broke. I called roadside assistance in which they towed to the nearest dealor since we were 58 miles from home. The dealor gave me a rental car and told me not to worry about anything, chrysler would handle it. On saturday the 25th, the dealership called me and told me that i would have to use my extended warranty because chrysler said they would not pay for this, even though this was a recalled part. I would have to pay the 100. 00 deductable. I then filed a complaint with chrysler, who then called me on monday the 27th and told me they would pay the deductable and i would have to issue the check first and they would send me the check. I did not have 100. 00 and told them that they would need to pay upfront. They said they would talk to the dealer and take care of it. On tuesday, the 28th i go to pick up my truck and they said chrysler did not pay and i had to borrow 100 to take care of the deductable and also had to fill up the rental car. I feel that this was all on chrysler and i have been a dodge owner since early 90's and i refuse to buy dodge ever again because of their lack of customer service. I could of been killed if this was to happen on the highway and chrysler just does not care.

2005 Dodge Durango - 1D4HD4AN65F- Ajo, AZ: August 28th, 2012
We were driving back into town from a family visit. We slowed down coming back into town and my vehicle stalled out when we started slowing down. We almost got rear ended by another vehicle. We tried to start it back up however my vehicle kept stalling out. I took it to three different places including the dealership where i had originally purchased the vehicle and they kept telling me there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. After over a thousand dollars at the dealers and several hundred more at the other two places to this day it still cuts out and stalls out when i am driving it. Now because it is a hazard we do not drive it at all and it is parked in our back yard waiting for a miracle to happen... Thank you for your time. Sincerely very frustrated.

I went to huntsville, alabama and got my two grandchildren on july 23, 2012 and they spent three weeks with me in michigan. On friday august 10, 2012, i took them home. On saturday, august 11, 2012 as i was driving down pulaski pike getting ready to make a left turn my truck would not turn. The man at the service station was waving for me to let my window down and i did and he said ma your drive shaft is on the ground. I got out of my truck and was astonished that this big long pipe was on the ground. My father came and said your pinion nut backed itself off the pinion and that there was no loctite on the pinion nut and that could have been very danger had it happen when i was carrying my grandchildren home. My father is a mechanic and he put my drive shaft back on and i drove my truck back to michigan and took my truck to moran chrysler jeep dealership in st. Clair. And they said it was put back together ok but need a seal on the differential case but the people i work with knew they were using defected pinion nuts. I work at the marysville axle plant which it use to be detroit axle plant.

2000 Dodge Caravan - 2B4GP45R2YR- Downingtown, PA: August 21st, 2012
On aug. 19 my husband heard a very faint "ping" about a 2 miles from home. Nothing seemed to be wrong and he felt it must have been something moving around in the car. On aug. 20, after driving several miles, i heard what sounded like something under the hood self-destructing, the odometer and rpm gauge went wacky, and i had no power. I was fortunate to be perhaps 50 yards from an auto service center and coasted into the driveway leaking fluid and flinging parts. The transmission had blown apart. Had i been on a freeway i would likely have been killed or killed someone else. From talking to mechanics it seems that this is a well known defect and dodge manufactured transmissions were not modified, but there has been no recall. We were told that after market parts from another company had the problem addressed. (what recourse do we have. Can we ever expect dodge to pay for a remanufactured transmission? ) note: the mileage and speed are approximate.

2003 Dodge Ram 1500 - 1D7-HUI18D8- Lewisberry, PA: August 20th, 2012
I was driving the truck at approximately 45 mph when suddenly their was a loud bang and the rear wheels completely locked up. This caused the vehicle to skid about 60 feet before coming to a stop in the right lane of traffic. Upon examination, it appeared that the rear differential had locked up, causing the drive shaft to separate from the rear differential. I was sitting in the right lane of traffic, unable to move the truck from the road way. We had to direct traffic until the tow truck arrived. Fortunately no one was injured. Total repair bill to replace the faulty rear differential: $2,681. 31.

The approximate failure mileage was 54,100 and the current mileage was 54,416.

We were driving our 2006 dodge durango for about 5 minutes when all of a sudden the dash board lights started flashing. My husband was able to veer off the road on a side street and coast down into a parking lot. By this point the car was completely unresponsive. Smoke started to come out of the vehicle vents on the dashboard. We thought maybe a part broke at first. My husband opened the hood and there was no visible fires and not a lot of smoke. Smoke started coming more and more quickly out of the vents. We got our 3 children out of the car. By this point smoke was billowing out. My husband ran into a building and called for help. The business gave us a fire extinguisher and called the fire department. As my husband ran back to the durango flames he saw the dashboard start to collapse. Next thing we knew flames were flying up the front window. He used the fire extinguisher on it. The fireman arrived and helped make sure the fire was completely out.
